Heather Kahn-Pyatt is an artist living and working in Boulder, Colorado (USA). Her approach to color is both formal and intuitive, and her approach to printmaking is iterative. Her textural and evolving work is created with serigraphy, xylography, linocut, monotype, and monoprint printmaking techniques, Her other ways of working include hand drawings, painting, and pochoir. Currently, Heather is working on continuing to develop work based on a handful of themes that she has been exploring for the past couple of years, hopefully creating both larger, unique prints as well as editions.

Cameron York is an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon (USA). Her approach to color is bold and her approach to printmaking is vibrant and ever-evolving. Cameron’s multi-layered and bright works are created with intaglio, monotype and hand-worked media.

Jennifer Ghormley is an artist living and working in Denver, Colorado (USA). Her approach to color is site-specific, and she chooses her color palette based on the content or meaning of the artwork, as well as the specific audience the piece is for. Jennifer’s approach to printmaking is non-traditional and her fun, playful, engaging, unique, mysterious and unusual multiples are created with woodcut, screenprint, monoprint and trace monotype techniques. She also works with cuts, folds, pins, sewing, thread and shapes.

Kristen Martincic is an artist living and working in Columbia, Missouri (USA). Her approach to color is to evoke a sensory experience, and her approach to printmaking is mindful. Kristen’s subtle, meditative and luminous prints are created with relief, woodcut, monotype and collagraph processes. She also manipulates printed paper through sewing, stuffing & collaging, creating mixed media works that are a hybrid of print, drawing, painting and sculpture.

Tanja Softić is an artist living and working in Richmond, Virginia (USA). She approaches color as a manifestation of light, time of day, season or emotional tone and her printmaking work is simultaneously grounded in traditional media but experimental and interdisciplinary in approach. Tanja’s polyphonic, layered and evocative works are created with etching, photoetching, digital print and collage, along with mokuhanga, monotype, drawing and painting.

Jite Agbro is an artist living and working in Seattle/Ballard, Washington (USA). Her approach to color involves saturation and her approach to printmaking involves layers. Jite’s colorful, form and pattern-oriented work is created with collagraph, monotype, stamping and photo etching techniques. Currently she is working on colorful and large-scale pieces that are site-specific.

Ann Conrad Stewart is a painter and printmaker living and working in Connecticut and Maine (USA). She currently prints at The Helen Frankenthaler Cottage at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT. Ann’s approach to color is explorative and her approach to printmaking involves building layered, one-of-a-kind pieces through a set of common matrices.

Nicholas Ruth is an artist living and working in Rochester, New York (USA). His approach to color is based on the premise of compelling tension, and his approach to printmaking is materially driven. Nick’s luminous and surreal work is created with monoprint techniques, along with screenprint and installation. Currently he is working on pasted wall installations and a series of intaglio prints with Mirabo Press in Buffalo, NY.

Kelda Martensen is an artist living and working in Seattle, Washington (USA). Her approach to color is decisive and quick and about creating tension and compatibility. Her printmaking work encompasses making puzzles from plywood, printing textures inherent in the plates, discovering surprises through imprecision and finding the right woodgrain. Kelda’s tactile and layered works are created mostly through woodblock and monotype printing processes, and she also works with collaged prints to create edges and motion in her compositions.

Jessie Van der Laan is an artist living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee (USA). Her approach to color involves transparent layers and her approach to printmaking is “everything in variation!”. Jessie’s layered, textured and transparent work is created with monotype, relief and screenprint printmaking techniques along with drawing, watercolor, colored pencil and fiber-based materials. Currently she is working on a series reflecting on the experience of motherhood, layering figurative elements with real and constructed landscapes.

Marilee Salvator is an artist living and working in Bowling Green, Kentucky (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive and her approach to printmaking experimental. Marilee’s highly layered, abstract and biology-inspired work is created with a mix of printmaking process including etching, relief, screen-print and monotype. Currently she is juggling a few different projects including a large-scale, modular print installation and several more modest sized traditional pieces that incorporate collaged prints.

April Flanders is an artist living and working in Boone, North Carolina (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive and expressive and her approach to printmaking is experimental. April’s intricate and often large-scale work is created with monotype, screenprinting and lithography. Currently she is working on a series of mixed media monoprints that address aquatic invasive species.

Mary Gordon is an artist living and working in Manhattan, Kansas. Her approach to color is fueled by observations in her environment and her approach to printmaking is reactionary. Mary’s playful and layered work is created with monotype printmaking techniques, mixed media and collage. Currently she is working on a series of prints she calls "Shifting Landscapes" : observations of land and sky in the Flint Hills of Kansas.

Susan J Goldman is an artist living and working in Rockville, Maryland (USA). Her approach to color is intuitive, and her approach to printmaking is interdisciplinary. Susan’s bold, layered and elegant work is created with screenprint, relief, monotype and digital printmaking processes. She also works in three-dimensional digital print applications for collaborative dance performances. Currently Susan is working on a project titled "Look Again: Five Centuries to Five Seconds”, presented by the Printmaking Legacy Project ®. This interview project organized by Susan Goldman re-examines what comprises a print, how it and the process of art making has changed, and how hybrid printing methods and a specific interest in how photographic techniques have affected artistic exploration. Susan is also working towards the exhibition: "Black & Blue: New Prints in the Time of Covid” at Galerie Myrtis, Baltimore, MD in March 2021.

Liz Ferrill is an artist living and working in Snowmass Village, Colorado (USA) at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Her approach to color is relative and her approach to printmaking is additive. Her work focuses on shape, the depiction of light and shadow, and exploration of mundane spaces through the use of pochoir printing methods and Rubylith screen printing techniques. Liz also makes monochromatic ink wash drawings that she is translating into Rubylith screen prints. She is also exploring screenprinting and pochoir through printing onto window screens.
